Delirium Street Party Brass is a ground breaking band from Calgary focused with horns, percussion, and vocals. The band blends jazz elements from the New Orleans’ street band tradition with pop and rock stylings, using its unique instrumentation to deliver fresh sounds within familiar genres and styles. Anchored by the solid low bass line from the sousaphone, the percussionists interpret the range of sounds from modern pop, while harmonic progressions flow from the horns. Saxophones, trombone, and trumpets deliver soaring motifs as often as they hold down the harmonic structure and rhythmic motion of each song. Street Party Brass music is infectious, familiar, unique, and danceable. It is fitting for multiple venues, from soft-seat theatres to a busy downtown street corner.

The band’s lead singer Ali Wick is a powerhouse of pop with a unique infectious style. Ali is at home in many genres, blending her operatic training and jazz love, yet is truly at home as a pop singer.

Delirium’s current project is “The Alberta Sessions”, a re-imagining of songs by female songwriters from Alberta: in particularFeist,JoniMitchell,Teganand Sara, Kiesza, and Jocelyn Alice, and the band’s own lead singer Ali Wick. The first single, Kiesza’s “Hideaway”, releases on February 24th 2023, and features a 5-piece drumline complementing the eleven members of the band.
